A person should, above all, be responsible for himself.
When we have children we automatically become responsible for them.
Unfortunately, living among us are many children whose parents, on the whole, are incapable of being responsible for themselves, let alone for their children. The responsibility for these children is therefore born by the state.
These children generally end up in a children’s home. Problems occur when these young children become young adults and have to leave the home.
Suddenly, they have to stand on their own two feet without the support of a family and with the minimum of tools for life.
This is the moment when we should take responsibility – all of us who are concerned about what is happening around us.
Long-term financial support, in the form of a savings for a specific child growing up in a children’s home, which will be at the disposal of that child after leaving the home, can help bridge this difficult stage in life and is a huge help to these children who deserve the attention of society.
With great pleasure we give every person who becomes involved in the project “Support me…” the title of honour “Responsible Person”.
Every sponsor who has signed the contract concerning the long-term financial support of a child earns the right to receive the “Responsible Person”certificate. We decided to begin this scheme on the 1-4-2012, which even includes previous sponsors who have signed a contract who will receive a backdated certificate.
The certificates are numbered in order, bear the organisation’s stamp, and the signature of the coordinator of the project and the board member of DEJME DĚTEM ŠANCI o.p.s. (LET’S GIVE CHILDREN A CHANCE), Ivana Veselá.
